Lindsay Park Racing:

I have known Marino Angelini, the managing partner of Stannards for many years. Many of his clients’ own horses that are currently in training at Lindsay Park Racing. My father Colin S Hayes, AM, OBE commenced his training career in 1947 in Adelaide. Heestablished Lindsay Park as Australia’s premier private trading facility. When dad retired I was handed the reigns and had immediate success in training winners. I also enjoyed remarkable success in Hong Kong and that success continued upon my return to Australia in 2006/07 winning 11 Group 1 races.

As part of the ongoing development of Lindsay Park Racing, I knew had to complete a new training facility in Euroa. I reached out to my close friend and successful owner Gary Lechte. That’s when I met Marino a “true” professional. He sat in on a few meetings and quickly advised me of the dos and don’ts of running a business. Marino, together with his son Peter, who will look after my training partner and nephew, Tom Dabernig and my son, Ben, have transformed my business into an effectively governed and truly professional operation.
