Ronald McDonald House Charities. Because helping those who need it the most matters to us.
Ronald McDonald House Charities is an independent nonprofit organisation whose stated mission is to create, find, and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of sick children and their families.
Our partner Jason Wall who is currently a Board Director at Ronald McDonald House Charities VicTas Ltd, donates his time to help the leadership team steer a vision to help families. The CEO Peter Bishop has commended Jason on his role for the last 4 years which was bestowed upon him after his continuous participation in the Ride for Sick Kids.
Understanding that parents are the ones who neglect themselves when having a sick child, RMHC provide accommodation, food and a place to feel looked after when parents are battling the severe stress and heart ache of having a sick child.
Jason Wall returned from Chicago in late August 2018, where the Global Conference was held for RMHC. The Conference provided opportunities to connect to motivated, compassionate and philanthropic people. It consolidated a passion further for RMHC.
"I truly believe that this will be a lifetime of spirited dedication for me." - Jason Wall
"Our RMHC VicTas are opening a new facility, Casa Elda Vacarri in North Fitzroy in late November 2018. This facility will provide us an additional 25 rooms for families and was donated by the Vacarri family for a $1 per year rent for 25 years. RMHC VicTas has spent approximately $1.8m on the refurbishment and the Vacarri family has also matched that commitment of $1.8m for the capital refurbishment.
