Smarter workplaces.

Workplace Apps are bringing down old hierarchy barriers and creating flat structures by connecting top level executives and entry level employees. Apps such as global leader #SLACK has given even the most dysfunctional organisations an open plan platform for them to talk to their entire business without even speaking a word. Sure, emails perform the same action but being able to track each conversation with total ease empowering employees, teams and management to share in a unified voice. SLACK has managed to bring a deeper level of intelligence into the workplace simply through sharing and connecting.

Being able to communicate in the workplace using this kind of technology is a must have skill these days. For Millennials and most of Gen X, this is a natural way of life. They are the new breed of employee. They are razor sharp in responsiveness, super texters and perform tasks in real time whilst taking in the information.

Personalising sports - NIKE + App.

The brilliance of Nike has always been leadership in Innovation. We are living in a mass era of Personalised Sports according to Nike CEO, Mark Parker. The Nike + App has been in development since VP of Digital Sports Stefan Olander championed the release of the Nike Fuel Band back in 2006 with digital tech agency RGA. The idea behind the Fuel Band was simply to feed an athletes obsession with performance measurement by connecting a data collection via pressure sensors in the sole of a Nike running shoe.

28 million people around the globe are using Nike + to track their Fitness and connect to peers.

The data had to then be translated for the everyday person and that is when the Nike + App was born. But as Nike does, it created a beautiful lifestyle wearable solution to add credibility and style for their customers, which incidentally kicked off a Billion dollar industry. The new Nike + App provides a total lifestyle solution from gaining pre-release access to the coolest and latest Nike products (Nike+ SNKRS), talking to approved training experts for advice and connecting to a global community of activity called Nike Training Club (NTC) and if you are a pure runner, there’s meet up events called Nike Running Club (NRC). Nike + is like being connected 24/7 to the company at your fingertips.

The Nike + App has created mass momentum in market over a period of 10 years. Nike has been clever enough to use the early days of it’s app platform to gather data, insight and let it’s users tell them what they want. Out of this gave birth to movements such as Nike Training Club (NTC), Nike Running Club (NRC), All Star Sneaker Events (Nike + SNKRS) and more.
